2023 Student Voice Symposium

Partnership opportunities across the curriculum

The 2023 Student Voice Symposium will focus on 鈥減artnership opportunities鈥�, across two focus areas: curriculum and pedagogy. This symposium will take on a different format to previous years, being spread across three days, over three weeks. Each webinar session will hear from a different expert in the field, followed by a Q&A session. Sessions 1 and 2 will take鈥�

The Social Justice SIG is pleased to announce the launch of its upcoming Social Justice Seminar Series, designed to provide international, interdisciplinary, and intersectional insight on addressing inequities, advocating for marginalized communities, and promoting inclusive practices within the context of education. We invite you to join us in this timely discussion from key experts in the field.聽

Each of the awards provide financial assistance to support conference attendance. The Conference Awards program for 2024 is now open. On May 15, 蓝鸟视频jointly hosted with ATEA and ACDE an online forum on 鈥榃hat counts as evidence in teacher education research and policy?鈥� We had a great turn-out, with close to 150 people joining in to hear our esteemed panellists: Prof Penny Van Bergen (Wollongong); Matthew Clarke (Aberdeen); Jenny Gore (Newcastle); and Sam Sellar (UniSa); with the panel ably chaired by Jo Lampert (Monash). The presentations offered compelling and diverse perspectives and prompted lots of engaged responses from鈥�

The conference theme is聽鈥楨ducation in a Changing World鈥� and we are pleased to announce that the website is open for submission of abstracts. You will find the Call for Papers with more information on the theme on the conference website, as well as detailed instructions for the submission process and links to submit individual and symposium abstracts.

Have you ever considered nominating for an Executive Committee role in AARE?

Later this year, the following Executive Committee positions will become vacant:

1. Secretary (3 year term)
2. Research Co-ordinator (3 year term)
3. Ordinary member (2 year term)
4. Ordinary member (PG) (2 year term)

蓝鸟视频members will be asked to nominate for these positions, and after a member vote, appointments will be made at the 2024 AGM. The 蓝鸟视频Executive Committee manages the affairs of the Association, and t鈥�

蓝鸟视频recognises distinguished contribution to the association through a number of key initiatives each year. 聽One of which is through the Ray Debus Award for Doctoral Research in Education which recognises excellence in educational research by doctoral students.聽

The award is a memorial to Dr Ray Debus, late distinguished mentor to many doctoral students and early career researchers, as well as both founding and Honorary Life Member of AARE. 聽聽

The Conference Awards program for 2024 is open. The due date for all award submissions will be 30 August, 2024.
