Responding to the TEEP Report: event recording now available

Strong Beginnings, the  was released in July 2023 and has attracted considerable public attention and debate among education researchers and those involved in initial teacher education.

À¶ÄñÊÓƵmembers have been prominent contributors to these discussions.    

AARE and ATEA held a joint online forum on Tuesday 1st August, featuring five distinguished academics responding to the highly anticipated TEEP Report.

The event brought together leading experts holding diverse roles and perspectives to offer their insights and analysis on the TEEP Report's findings and recommendations.  The panelists were: Professor  (Western Sydney University); Professor  (Griffith University); Professor  (University of Newcastle); Professor  (University of Sydney); and Professor  (Monash University).

We asked the panel to comment on three things:

  1. General thoughts about the TEEP report
  2. Changes in language, eg practical experience, provider
  3. Implications for universities and ITE
