Abstract:
John Hughes will present research based on drama strategies employed by teachers and students in senior secondary classrooms. This research explores psychodynamic theory in the creation of collaborative learning experiences. The research focuses on the dynamic between affect and cognition through the use of a drama procedure known as Enactment of the Expert in the comprehension of difficult literary texts within the English syllabus. The implications for other learning environments will be elaborated.
